How to Determine Template Style (4x3 or 16x9)

Choose a foundational template for uniformity in your playbook and determine if your drawings will be 4x3 or 16x9.

How to Determine Which Template to Use

  • What type of playbook template do you want?
  • How many boxes on your page do you want to display?

Most professional and collegiate teams use 06-Up DT or DTC

Aspect Ratio

Make sure that your drawings are the same aspect ratio as this template.

Example of 4x3 Boxes with 4x3 Drawings

Notice how the drawing fills the box perfectly.

If you want to use the 06-up for your drawings,

Your individual drawing should look like this:

:

Which fits neatly inside of this 06-Up template

If you want to use an 08-Up or even a 10-Up, your drawings need to be wider (16x9)

Your individual drawing would look like this:

PQD will resize your drawings to fit whichever template you select. It does not stretch to fit vertically or horizontally but will fit inside the size of the drawing box for the template you have selected.

So again, determine the template you are doing to use first to determine which drawing size (4x3 or 16x9).
