Change the Location of your Templates Folder
The default templates offered are the 16:9 dimensions and they live in a default folder location (ProQuickDraw4 > Templates > PowerPoint > 16:9). However, you may want to change this folder location because:
- You may be on a staff and want to share templates with your fellow coaches using a shared drive.
- You prefer a custom folder of yours
- You want to change from 16:9 to 4:3 or Portrait Templates.
To change the location of your Templates Folder, find the Page Templates section of the Pro Quick Draw Toolbar near the Select Template icon. There is a small box with an arrow in the bottom right of the section. Select this small arrow. Navigate to the folder of your new location.
Varieties of Template Orientations
The default orientation is Landscape 16:9.
Landscape 16x9
The most common format among PowerPoint using coaches. Fits well on a television and formats nicely horizontally on standard paper for handouts to players and coaches.
Portrait
Second most-popular orientation used for playbooks. Works well with full-field backgrounds for special teams, mapping out drills for camps using full-fields. Prints out nicely on a vertical standard paper.
Landscape 4x3
More of a square fit and used to put a drawing on a longer field background. Commonly used when pulling Visio drawings into PowerPoint.
